CANADIAN TIRE | Designing what women want

Nestled within the male-focused environment of Canadian Tire, this prototype home zone was developed to maximize sales of home décor products, by appealing in a more targeted way to previously underserved women shoppers. To create a female-friendly shopping experience that women could relate to, the emphasis was placed on reflecting personal style, highlighting the latest trends, and presenting solutions within a fashion based boutique-like atmosphere.

A logical traffic flow, related product groupings, inspiring displays, and bold lifestyle graphics make the space more inviting to browse, while a warm colour palette, suspended incandescent lighting, and low fixturing makes for a homey, intimate shopping environment. The result: a comfortable and welcoming female zone, in complete contrast to the rest of the store.
